about

Warning. This album is believed to be haunted. It is a concept album about the Assyrian gods of environmental destruction, desolation, and starvation, the Utuki. Strange things have been known to happen when the album is played. CD versions of the album have been known to play themselves backwards at random, turn stereos on suddenly to resume playback, and other strange phenomemon. `A Rite to Refuse` did not have any vocals recorded for it. Rather they were "discovered" and "drawn out" while mixing through compression and frequency isolation.
It is of our opinion that these Utuki were in fact the protective deities of the Sumerians, who latter subjugated by the northern Akkadian empires, became a race of enslaved angels, starving in a hostile wilderness.
They are not dangerous, per se. But regardless,
Consider Yourself Warned.
